Tobay Striped Bass Biting – 11-11-2009

November 13th, 2009

Tobay Beach was red hot with striped bass action the other day. Our guess is that the fishing pretty much stinks with the Noreaster turning up 10′-18′ waves.

The stripers were biting just before and after dark at Tobay Beach. We had a customer walk in with his son looking to hit the West End for some bass fishing. Based on the chatter and activity coming from Tobay Beach we advised him to go there instead because some of the Causeway Crew were down at the West End the other morning and it was dead! Our customer took our advice and some fresh bunker with him and was back in no more than an hour with a 12 pound striped bass that his son reeled in off the beach. He also stated that when they were leaving the beach, the bass were still biting.

Again, we don’t expect anything good with the rough surf but we will update you again when we hear more.
