Unfortunately, sounds like things have become VERY quiet all around. There were plenty of fish around, mostly smaller ones, but in the past two days they seem to have vanished. A number of people have been visiting Tobay and Robert Moses along with Field 6 and West End… but nothing to report. One fish every here and there but that’s about it.

We may get one more shot, once the Herring show up and we have reports of Herring in Montauk but none around here yet. Hopefully we’ll see a decent run along the beaches but if the herring don’t show before the weather get’s real cold… we may be finished.

Make sure you have the right lures if the Herring DO show… basically anything Blue and White. Polaris style poppers, Pencil Poppers, Swimmers and even plastic baits!
