Not too much to report unfortunately, what little we have heard about has been on bait… fresh Bunker to be specific. The beaches have been difficult to fish lately, between the crazy weather and the tremendous sweep/rip tides.

We did weigh one fish from Field 6, a 21 3/4 pounder for Domingos Martins caught on 7-24 on a chunk.

Other than that, it’s been one or two fish at each beach with an occasional Bluefish mixed in. Again, it’s been all bait with VERY little activity coming from any of the plug fishermen.

West End 2 still has a little action at first light with some schoolie Bass and small Blues on tins poppers but once the sun pops up, what little action there is, is OVER.
