Surf Fishing Report – Long Island South Shore – 11-15-08
November 15th, 2008Robert Moses Filed 5 has been consistently producing fish for about a week now. Sounds like the Sandeels have shown up there and brought the Bass with them. Joe from the shop had over 40 fish the other day and a number of our customers have reported similar result. Considering the bait that has been around, tins have been the way to go. Diamond jigs and sandeel shaped lures like the Point Jude Pojee have been out producing just about everything else! Sounds like mostly small Bass and a few big Blues…. but plenty of action!!
Other than that, the surf has been rather quiet around here with scattered reports from other beaches. We did have a couple reports from people fishing with bait in Point Lookout and we weighed a 20 plus pounder for one person who also had 5 other shorts.
Seems like this warm weather isn’t helping the fall run but we’ll keep our ears open!!
