Striped Bass: The bass fishing continues to be solid both in the bay and ocean. The West Bar gave up a 45 pounder yesterday, and a 22 pounder was taken under the bunker schools off Long Beach. Ocean trolling also remains strong in 50 feet of water between the Pink Hotel and the Roundhouse. Wire is not necessary to do this fishing. Mono or braided line can be used with Mann’s stretch plugs or the new Bomber deep diving plugs. We have a wide selection of these new lures here at the shop or on our website. We also have a selection of new shad umbrella rigs which use spinner blades as teasers. These should definitely be checked out! The beach fishing is a this little slow, but we did weigh in a nice 30 pound fish this morning. It was taken on a fresh bunker.
