The bottom fishing has slowed a little, probably because of the full moon we had but we would expect things to pick right up again. In the bays, there have been plenty of fish around the bridges and piers although they seem to be smaller than they have been. This happens every year though, the keeper sized fish get caught up and it slows to a slower pick… but the action typically remains steady.

On the local reefs and wrecks in the ocean , reports have slowed due to the rough ocean and the moon too. We haven’t had many reports in the past few days but once the weather settles we should hear a little more. These fish should hang around for a while and we would expect things to improve with some cooler weather too.

As always…. Clams, Sanworms, cut Squid and even live Killies will work for baits in the bay AND the ocean. For rigs, the most popular Porgy seems to be the WIRE #460 Porgy rigs from Fin Strike and for the Seabass the top seller seems to be thre Pro Series rigs with the Gammi hooks.
