New York Fishing Reports – Long Island – 6-22-09
June 22nd, 2009The action continues to heat up for the Long Island Waters especially for your bottom feeders. There has been plenty of action but less keepers in the mix. Many of the reports we are receiving indicate that sea bass are the main catch along with some porgies and ling. Also bear in mind that the deeper you go the more dogfish you will encounter. Most of the dogfish are being caught in 60′-70′ of water.
For the crabbers out there, the blue claw crab are starting to show up at the local piers.
Thanks for all who contributed to the New York Fishing Reports and keep them coming.
