Aquaskinz Albatross Bib Pant Review

We had the opportunity to see the many prototypes of the Aquaskinz Albatross Bib before it was sent to production, and let us say that this is a sweet bib!! Unlike any other PVC, commercial grade bib, these have a water proof zipper in the front and two pockets! If any of you have ever worn a Grundens, Helly Hansen or Guy Cotten bib, you’ll know what we mean when we say that this feature is awesome for when nature calls. With the traditional bib pant, you have to practically un-dress to do your business, but with the Albatross bibs, you simply un-zip, do your thing and get back to fishing… NICE! They are made with a Heavy Cotton/Twill inner material and a tough outer PVC material, welded seems and the pockets are fitted with stainless grommets and velcro closures.
Definately one of the most creative, thought out products we’ve seen in quite some time.
Causeway Kudos to Aquaskinz on these!
Abu Garcia REVO Inshore Reel Review

This new Revo Inshore baitcasting reel from Abu Garcia has been creating quite a stir lately! This is definately a SLICK new reel!! A couple of us, here in the shop have spent years and years in the shallow back bays, targeting Striped Bass on light tackle and this reel is just PERFECT for that application. Compared to the reels that we used to use, like Shimano Curado’s and Chronarch’s… this one has many advantages. It has a lower profile than the typical baitcaster, so it feel nicer in your hand, it holds more line than any other reel in it’s class, these reels have 6.4:1 gear ratio and an unbelievable amount of power for a reel of it’s size… much more drag power (24 pounds) than comprable reels. It’s light in weight and very, very smooth. The Revo was designed for saltwater use, so it’s as tough in the freshwater as it is in the salt!
Additionally, it’s LESS EXPENSIVE than most other reels in it’s class.
OH… and there is a $20 rebate offer from Abu as well as a FREE T-shirt!
Stop in the store and check one out. If you love light tackle fishing… this reel is absolutely one to look at.
