7 year old Billy Doyle, fishing with his Dad on their boat “T-Bone”, landed these two keeper Fluke on Tuesday Agust 12th. They were using a combination of Squid and Spearing with 4″ Gulp Swimming Mullets on the Fin Strike Pro Series rigs at the JI Bouy.
Way To Go Billy!!!!

Frank Palmisano and Doug Neu landed these THREE monster Fluke on Sunday 8/4/08! They were fishing off of the boat “Sunday Sauce” south east of the Jones Inlet. Seeing these three I would say that the keeper Fluke are here!!!!

Roger Grenier was fishing near the Coast Guard Station in Jones Inlet on 7-26-08 when he landed this BIG 11 plus pounder!!

This Report was recently e-mails to us from Floyd Goldman:
“Mitchell Goldman 8 years old of Bellmore - caught this 5lb. 9oz. Fluke on his dads boat, just outside the Jones Inlet on a Spro Bucktail and a long piece of squid - just like the guys at Causeway suggested!! He had many “shorts” and had a lot of action out there- but loved every minute of it!! Mitchell fishes every week but only keeps the doormats and there have been a lot!”

“Monday 7-12-2008, outgoing tide, 12:30pm to 5:00pm by the Coast Guard Station in Jones Inlet. Bait used: Berkley Gulp Alive 4″ Swimming Mullet in Pearl White tipped with Sand Eels.
Thanks to the advice of the great crew at Causeway Bait and Tackle to turning us onto Berkley’s Gulp Alive, we had a slaughter of a day”
Gianna Feneillo 3 1/2 years old - 1st keeper Fluke of her fishing career 20.5″ flattie
Victoria Cini - almost 11 years old - 3 shorties
Frank Cini - 9 years old - 1 shortie on very light tackle, took the life out of him and he didn’t fish for the rest of the day
Charlie Cini - 11 years old 1st keeper of his life - 21.5″ FATTIE

Pete DiThomas, from the shop, took his 4 year old daughter Kaitlyn Fluke fishing for her first time. Here are a few pictures from their trip including one of Kaitlyn fighting her very first Fluke… a 20″ fish no less, with the help of Dad of course. In addition to a mess of Shorts, Pete landed this 7 plus pounder to top things off!
Good Job Kaitlyn!!!
Pete was using 4 and 6 ounce Spro Bucktails with the Chart/White Captain Bills Floating Teasers around the McAllister area on 7-17-08.
Fluke - 8.58lbs - 9th Place in the Fluke Mania Tournament

Diane Moore stopped in on Saturday morning (7-12-08), signed up for the Noreast Fluke Mania Tournament, bought a TON of bait and later that day weighed in these two fish. One of which was the 9th place fish in the Tournament… netting her a cool 500 bucks!!
